What Does a Pediatric Home Health Nurse Do on a Daily Basis? When you take on a pediatric case, you become a lifeline for a child and their family, providing care in the comfort of their own home. Your day-to-day will typically include:
- Providing dedicated, 1-on-1 medical care tailored to the child's specific developmental and clinical needs.
- Managing medical interventions, which may include G-tube feedings, seizure management, and respiratory treatments.
- Administering scheduled medications and closely monitoring vital signs and changes in condition.
- Educating, communicating with, and empowering family members so they feel confident in their child's ongoing care plan.
