Work Order ClerkThe Work Order Clerk reports directly to the Work Order Processing Supervisor and plays a pivotal role in our Production Planning Team. This position is responsible for creating work orders, tracking their progress, reconciling inventory, and supporting various administrative functions. The ideal candidate will embody our core values, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional service.Primary Duties:Create work orders for sales orders requiring value-added services.Generate work order/purchase order combinations for outside processing.Reconcile costs and inventory upon work order completion.Address and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly in the ERP systemEnsure all required paperwork is submitted to billing accurately and on time.Monitor order statuses and coordinate releases for production.Provide exceptional service and communication to both internal and external customers.Assist with other administrative duties as required.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong math skills.Proficiency with 10-key data entry.Working knowledge of Windows PC applications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a dynamic work environment.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in work order processing, production planning, or a related administrative role.Familiarity with ERPs with inventory management software.Knowledge of steel industry processes and outside processing coordination.Core Values Alignment:Be Safe Always: Follow all safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
